We primarily work with individuals who hold private medical insurance, providing tailored interventions that meet their specific needs.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite in our Home Care setting, where you will interact closely with patients on a daily basis. The facility spans 5,000 square feet, featuring advanced sports medicine capabilities that enhance both assessment and treatment strategies. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent routine and making it easier to manage patient outcomes effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and address the individual needs of patients, setting realistic and achievable therapy goals.
• Maintain a patient load of up to two individuals per hour, ensuring high-quality care and focused attention.
• Utilize your previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings to inform your therapeutic approach and decision-making.
• Administer cost-effective therapies aimed at improving range of motion and enhancing mobility for clients.
• Propose alternative non-surgical interventions to reduce reliance on medication, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
• Develop customized treatment plans employing a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's needs.
• Design creative fitness and wellness programs that actively engage patients to promote their ongoing health.
• Deliver evidence-based, personalized care guided by the latest research and clinical best practices.
• Encourage and motivate patients during their recovery journeys, optimizing their functionality and independence.
• Help cultivate a lifestyle that emphasizes healthy habits, including improved strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, maintaining clear and consistent communication with both patients and healthcare team members.
• Accurately document all services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily caters to individuals with private medical insurance, focusing on orthopedic cases that require specialized rehabilitation and therapy. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active Physical Therapy license in Alexandria, Virginia, free of any board or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient records.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred.
• Experience in patient assessment and individualized treatment program development is a significant plus.
• A strong understanding of rehabilitation methodologies and techniques specific to sports medicine will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
