Work Environment

This position is an onsite role, where you will take your expertise directly to patients' homes, offering convenience and tailored care. You will primarily work Monday to Friday, allowing for a structured schedule while also maintaining flexibility to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized physical therapy interventions to prevent disability and maximize muscle function while adhering to prescribed care and treatment plans.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring accurate execution of care plans and therapeutic techniques.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of client functional levels using diagnostic tests, fostering a holistic assessment of physical capabilities.
• Assess and modify home environments to optimize client independence during rehabilitation.
• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy treatments, including manual therapy, exercises, and innovative treatment modalities within the comfort of the patient's home.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices as needed, in collaboration with physicians on necessary modifications.
• Record and document patient progress meticulously through clinical notes, initial evaluations, and discharge summaries using standardized formats, including OASIS.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing valuable insights into care plans and adjusting treatment approaches to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide education and training to clients and their families on home therapy programs and the proper use of therapy devices.
• Ensure documentation of clinical and payroll records is timely and complies with company policies, including assisting with administrative best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• Current PT licensure in good standing for the state of Virginia.
• One year of relevant experience in physical therapy, preferably in home care or acute care settings.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable automobile insurance.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-oriented care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and engage with patients and families.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging between USD 90,000 and 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
