Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite in a home care setting. You will visit patients in their residences, equipped with the necessary tools to deliver treatment effectively and with care. The physical therapist role includes engaging with patients of varying ages and backgrounds, necessitating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse needs. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Aspirus, you will:

• Perform initial evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, focusing on improving mobility, function, and quality of life for patients with functional limitations.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment procedures, expected outcomes, and home exercise programs to empower them in their recovery process.
• Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and billing information accurately in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and continuity across all points of service.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote health and wellness initiatives.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings, professional development programs, and in-service training.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain licensure and certifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be primarily on adults and seniors facing mobility challenges due to conditions such as orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, neurological disorders, and chronic pain. You will work closely with each patient to tailor your approach, considering their unique home environments and personal goals. This position emphasizes compassionate patient care, ensuring all interactions are respectful and culturally sensitive.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapy state licensure in Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in electronic health records and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in home health care or outpatient physical therapy settings, as well as proficiency in patient management software, is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with diverse treatment modalities and a commitment to ongoing professional development will enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits

Aspirus offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to this competitive salary, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
