Work Environment

This position is mainly onsite, where the Physical Therapist will visit patients in their homes throughout Alexandria and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions and symptoms, ensuring personalized care.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Instruct patients on therapeutic exercise techniques, emphasizing the proper form to enhance effectiveness and safety.
• Utilize hands-on techniques such as massage and stimulation to promote healing and aid in recovery.
• Assist patients with mobility devices, ensuring they understand how to use equipment like wheelchairs and walkers effectively.
• Maintain accurate patient records, tracking progress, setting goals, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide families with guidance on in-home treatment options, exercises, and techniques to support continued recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Core & Agility, you will work with a diverse patient population throughout Alexandria, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. Your personalized approach will focus on optimizing each patient's physical abilities and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy, with a strong foundation in evidence-based practices.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software tools.
• Ability to be highly flexible and agile, adapting to varying patient needs and home settings.

Preferred Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates with at least 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy settings, including home care. Familiarity with pediatric and geriatric therapy practices will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
