Work Environment

This position is primarily an onsite role within the home care setting, allowing our therapists to engage directly with patients in their home environment. By fostering personal connections, our therapists can motivate and inspire patients towards achieving their rehabilitation goals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to identify patient needs, with a focus on evaluating physical function, pain levels, and mobility.
• Develop individual treatment plans based on patient evaluations, collaborating with patients and their families to set realistic and achievable goals.
• Utilize a variety of physical therapy modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and educational resources, to facilitate recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Provide education and support to patients and caregivers about treatment plans and techniques to encourage active participation in their recovery.
• Maintain productive schedules and manage time effectively to ensure that each patient receives appropriate attention and care.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and share best practices.
• Engage in quality assurance activities to continually improve patient care outcomes and identify opportunities for service enhancement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Physical Therapist at Flex Fitness, you will work with a wide array of patient populations, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Your role will necessitate adapting treatment approaches to meet the unique needs of each demographic, ensuring culturally sensitive and age-appropriate care.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, preferably in a home care or community setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a propensity for patient education and advocacy.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while managing patient care independently.
• Competence in using various therapeutic equipment, both manual and electronic documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations in a rehabilitative healthcare setting.
• Previous involvement in quality improvement processes or program development related to therapy services.
• Familiarity with billing practices and insurance-related documentation.
