Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing individualized physical therapy plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring function based on patients' specific needs.
• Assessing patients' functional abilities through diagnostic and prognostic evaluations of muscle, nerve, joint, and overall functional capabilities.
• Overseeing the work of physical therapy assistants to ensure exceptional care delivery, including regular training and guidance related to patient care protocols.
• Administering therapeutic exercises and instructing patients in both manual and non-manual activities necessary for their rehabilitation.
• Evaluating home environments and providing recommendations to enhance patients' independence and overall functionality in daily living.
• Maintaining precise clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and modify care plans as necessary, collaborating with physicians and case managers.
• Delivering educational resources to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, goals, and the use of rehabilitation devices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist in good standing.
• At least two years of experience in physical therapy, preferably in a home care or rehabilitation setting.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• A commitment to continuous learning and quality patient care.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Experience

While the primary requirement is two years of relevant experience, candidates with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) and additional experience in advanced therapeutic techniques will be given priority. Familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience.
