Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Pacific Physical Therapy Clinic, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients, focusing on their medical history, physical assessments, and functional abilities to create tailored treatment plans.
• Communicating effectively with patients and their families about evaluation results and treatment strategies, ensuring they are actively involved in the goal-setting process.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols and continuously adapting therapy based on patients' changing conditions.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize care and address complex treatment needs.
• Monitoring patient progress and modifying care plans as necessary to meet established goals.
• Ensuring accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Demonstrating strong time management skills to meet productivity goals while maintaining a high standard of care.
• Participating in community outreach initiatives and marketing activities that promote physical wellness and access to rehabilitation services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopaedic conditions, stroke, post-operative patients, and those living with chronic pain. Your role will be instrumental in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through individualized therapy.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate patient interaction and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience

While prior professional experience is not strictly required, candidates with at least two years of clinical experience within a rehabilitation setting will be preferred. Experience with electronic health record systems and patient management software will be considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
