Orthoworks Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our home care team in Woodbridge, Virginia. Work Environment

The Home Care setting allows for flexible scheduling and a close-knit interaction with patients in their own environments. This role primarily involves traveling to patients' residences and working directly in community settings. As such, our therapists enjoy the freedom of managing their schedules while being deeply integrated into the lives of the patients they serve. This onsite position ensures that therapists can provide the hands-on, individualized care that is often critical in rehabilitating patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their functional limitations and disabilities, using clinically validated methods.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with best practices and patient goals informed by thorough assessments.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive continuum of care, effectively communicating patient needs and any modifications to treatment.
• Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatment modalities as needed to enhance recovery outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes, adhering to all applicable laws and professional standards.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including Physical Therapist Assistants and aides, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in community outreach programs and health fairs to promote physical therapy services and educate the public on health and wellness.
• Engage in continuous professional development through in-services, workshops, and educational opportunities to maintain licensure and improve clinical skills.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex patient care situations and contribute to program development.
• Successfully manage your own caseload, ensuring timely service delivery while meeting productivity expectations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapists primarily work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, or seeking rehabilitation after injuries. By providing personalized, one-on-one therapy in the comfort of their own homes, therapists can create a supportive environment that maximizes patient engagement and promotes faster recovery. Our clients range from pediatric to geriatric populations, necessitating a careful, individualized approach to treatment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in documenting patient care accurately and effectively.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills for charting and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a home care or outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
