Locomotion Restore Physical Therapist Services is actively seeking a dedicated and motivated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our outpatient practice in Fairfax Station, Virginia. Work Environment

This position is onsite, allowing you to connect deeply with both patients and colleagues. You will be part of a small, dynamic team, working alongside two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) in a collaborative setting. Our practice promotes teamwork and open communication, enhancing the quality of care and ensuring that every patient's journey through rehabilitation is as seamless as possible. A typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly assess patient needs by conducting comprehensive evaluations and formulating personalized treatment plans that align with their rehabilitation goals.
• Assist patients in achieving optimal levels of functional movement, utilizing advanced techniques in manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused and personalized care to meet specific patient needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to design and implement cost-effective treatment modalities aimed at minimizing the reliance on medications and exploring non-surgical alternatives.
• Document patient interactions in compliance with our electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring clear communication of services rendered and progress made over time.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment effects, adjusting care plans as necessary based on patient feedback and objective measures of progress.
• Provide education and motivation to patients regarding their treatment plans, emphasizing the importance of adherence to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Engage with other healthcare professionals to cultivate a comprehensive care approach, enhancing communication for the best possible patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is on orthopedic rehabilitation, working with a diverse patient population who often present with conditions following surgery, injury, or chronic ailments. Our patients are typically motivated individuals looking to regain strength, functionality, and independence. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active Virginia State Physical Therapist license without any disciplinary actions.
• Proven competencies in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to manage patient documentation and progress tracking.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a strong background in managing cases that require acute attention to mobility and rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated ability to establish therapeutic relationships, fostering a supportive environment that addresses not only physical recovery but also emotional well-being.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually.
