Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient conditions, developing tailored rehabilitation plans that focus on restoring mobility and improving physical performance.
• Manage a designated patient load, maintaining a consistent schedule of one patient per hour to ensure comprehensive, personalized attention.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques and modalities, such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to aid in patient recovery.
• Document all patient interactions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes within our electronic medical records (EMR) system, specifically WebPT.
• Promote healthy lifestyles through exercise regimens, nutritional advice, and wellness education tailored to individual patient needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients to motivate and encourage them throughout their treatment journey, while also offering guidance on self-management strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care and ensure continuity of treatment.
• Regularly review treatment plans to assess progress and make necessary adjustments based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves patients covered by private medical insurance, allowing us to offer specialized orthopedic rehabilitation services. You will work with a diverse group of individuals, ranging from postoperative patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries to athletes seeking to enhance their performance or rehabilitate from sports-related injuries. Each treatment plan is crafted with a focus on sustained recovery and optimal mobility.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia with no regulatory or disciplinary actions is mandatory.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a demonstrated ability to design and implement effective exercise programs.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster trusting relationships with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Experience in sports rehabilitation is a distinct advantage, given our patient demographics.
