Work Environment

The position is based out of our modern outpatient office located in Centreville, Virginia. Our clinic features state-of-the-art equipment and resources designed to support a range of therapeutic practices. You will be working Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule that enhances work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized assessment and treatment to patients, carefully addressing their unique rehabilitation goals and needs.
• Maintain a manageable patient load by dedicating appropriate time and attention to each case, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic care to implement evidence-based interventions that facilitate recovery and enhance physical performance.
• Develop comprehensive and tailored care plans that correspond to a variety of treatment methodologies, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and wellness programming.
• Employ cost-effective treatment modalities to enhance patient mobility and function while encouraging non-surgical alternatives to medication.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Provide motivation and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, promoting adherence to exercise and wellness goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to integrate services and ensure holistic patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Small Changes, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse patient population ranges from active adults seeking to return to sports to individuals managing long-term pain issues. Your work will not only focus on rehabilitation but also on education and proactive strategies to prevent further injury.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in a clinical outpatient setting, specializing in orthopedic care.
• A clean license with no history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly Web PT, to ensure accurate and thorough patient documentation.
• A strong commitment to staying informed on the latest physical therapy practices and research-supported techniques.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a patient-centered environment where personalized care is emphasized.
• Prior experience with sports rehabilitation or post-surgical care.
• Proven success in designing and implementing comprehensive fitness and wellness programs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
