Fit Movement Physical Therapy & Wellness is searching for a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia. Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center features a modern, spacious environment of 5,000 square feet, designed specifically for orthopedic sports medicine. This facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and resources, allowing our clinicians to deliver high-quality, personalized care. You will be working alongside a collaborative team that includes experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), where everyone plays a crucial role in the patient recovery process. The work setting emphasizes a supportive, professional atmosphere where continuing education and skill enhancement are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient goals, needs, and limitations and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring focused and effective therapy sessions.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities—including manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and therapeutic activities—to enhance patient mobility and reduce pain.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting care plans based on ongoing evaluations and outcomes.
• Empower patients by motivating them to actively participate in their recovery and wellness journey.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care for our patients.
• Implement cost-effective strategies to improve treatment outcomes while exploring non-pharmacological options to reduce reliance on medication.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient demographic at Fit Movement consists of individuals with various orthopedic injuries and conditions, many of whom have private medical insurance. Our commitment to patient-centered care means that you'll be helping patients of all ages, from active athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults working on regaining their independence and mobility.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Virginia license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques, with a strong foundation in creating and executing appropriate exercise protocols.
• Proficient with WebPT EMR software for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, specifically with patient populations similar to those served by Fit Movement.
• Demonstrated ability in using evidence-based interventions to achieve favorable patient outcomes.
• Experience working collaboratively within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an annual salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
