Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility provides a positive and motivational onsite environment where teamwork and patient-centered care are prioritized. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including doctors, athletic trainers, and occupational therapists, in delivering comprehensive care. The typical work schedule for this full-time position is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The patient load is managed to ensure that you can provide each patient with the attention and care they deserve.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at improving motion, mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Educate patients on their conditions and involve them in their rehabilitation process, fostering independence and motivation in their recovery.
• Utilize various treatment modalities, including manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription, to optimize patient care.
• Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet changing goals and needs.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and progress in line with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Promote health and wellness through community education sessions and group classes, emphasizing preventive care and lifestyle changes.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest research and advancements in physical therapy practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Ascove, you will primarily treat individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and general musculoskeletal disorders. Our diverse patient population includes children, athletes, and older adults, providing a rich and varied caseload that will enhance your clinical skills. Your role is crucial in helping patients regain independence and functionality after injury, and empowering them to pursue their health goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for accurate documentation and patient management.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current physical therapy interventions and best practices, supported by research and clinical evidence.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and the healthcare team.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, enhancing patient care through teamwork.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
