Key Responsibilities

In this vital role, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities, limitations, and needs, using standardized assessment tools.
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, which may incorporate a blend of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and functional training.
• Implementing treatment sessions, adapting techniques and activities to ensure maximum effectiveness, while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
• Continuously tracking and documenting patient progress, outcomes, and response to treatment in our electronic health record system.
• Reassessing patient goals regularly and adjusting treatment plans as appropriate to facilitate continuous improvement and patient-centered care.
• Providing guidance and education to patients and their families on home exercise programs, self-management strategies, and the use of assistive devices when necessary.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration to create a comprehensive care approach and improve patient care outcomes.
• Participating in professional development through workshops, seminars, and peer networking to enhance skills and knowledge in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied patient demographic, including children, adults, and elderly individuals recovering from conditions such as orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, neurological disorders, and chronic pain syndromes. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping each patient reach their rehabilitation goals and regain functional capacity in daily activities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
• A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.

• Proficiency in computer skills including the use of electronic health records.

Preferred Experience
