Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Directing and implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and improving muscle function.
• Supervising and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure proper adherence to the treatment plans.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic assessments and using those evaluations to inform treatment modifications.
• Assessing patients' home environments and recommending adaptations that foster independence and safety.
• Providing hands-on therapeutic exercises and ensuring clients are educated about their treatment regimen, including the use of physical therapy devices.
• Participating in interdisciplinary case conferences to evaluate and refine overall treatment strategies for patients.
• Maintaining clear and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries as per regulatory requirements.
• Reporting any changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate team members to aid in the timely adjustments of care.
• Offering education to patients and families about their conditions, expected outcomes, and home care practices.
• Engaging with the community and advocating for patient needs and effective rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.

• Current CPR certification and an active driver's license with insurance.
