Active Living Orthopedic Facility is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our outpatient office in Herndon, Virginia, where you will engage with patients in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Our facility is well-equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and technologies, enabling therapists to provide innovative and effective treatment options. You will work alongside two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering a collaborative team dynamic to enrich patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's unique goals and treatment needs.
• Manage a diverse caseload efficiently, treating one patient per hour while ensuring high-quality, individualized attention.
• Utilize sound judgment to create and implement comprehensive care plans that address functional limitations and improve mobility.
• Employ evidence-based practices and manual therapy techniques to enhance patients' functional abilities.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, encouraging participation in therapeutic exercises and wellness programs.
• Evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans based on observed outcomes and patient feedback.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient treatments and progress, utilizing our EMR software, specifically WebPT.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, consulting with other healthcare professionals to ensure all aspects of patient care are addressed.
• Explore alternatives to surgical interventions, aiming to reduce patients' reliance on medications through effective physical therapy techniques.
• Encourage lifestyle changes that improve strength, flexibility, balance, and overall health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a varied patient demographic, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their musculoskeletal system. You will provide support to patients with conditions such as arthritis, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and spinal disorders. Our focus is on creating tailored treatment approaches that address the unique challenges and goals of each patient, ultimately fostering independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An exemplary professional record without any disciplinary actions or complaints.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an ability to inspire and motivate patients.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred.
• A demonstrated history of successful patient management and outcome improvement in physical therapy.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive compensation package for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 125,000 per year, reflecting experience and expertise.
