Work Environment

This position is onsite at our comprehensive rehabilitation center located in McLean, Virginia. The facility features over 5,000 square feet dedicated to sports medicine and rehabilitation, equipped with advanced therapy tools and patient-centered treatment spaces. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapist assistants and administrative staff, in a supportive and engaging work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify individual patient goals and needs to create personalized treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload effectively by seeing one patient per hour, ensuring undivided attention to each individual.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment methods to provide effective, cost-efficient therapies aimed at enhancing range of motion and overall mobility.
• Formulate comprehensive care plans that integrate various therapeutic techniques tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Design fitness and wellness programs that are specifically customized to support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment journey to optimize their physical capabilities.
• Document all patient interactions and progress meticulously to uphold transparency and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in ongoing evaluation of treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary to maximize patient recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Promote health education to empower patients regarding lifestyle choices that can enhance their overall well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients dealing with orthopedic injuries and conditions, ranging from sports injuries to post-operative rehabilitation. Our practice primarily accepts patients with private medical insurance, allowing for a more personalized approach to treatment. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing tailored strategies to facilitate recovery and improve functional performance.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Virginia Physical Therapist license, with a clean professional record and no history of disciplinary actions.
• Strong capability in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercises, demonstrating hands-on expertise.
• Ability to create and implement effective exercise protocols that promote strength and rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in utilizing WebPT EMR Software for patient documentation and record-keeping.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated history of developing effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
