Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to relevant state practice acts to ensure compliance with the legal requirements governing physical therapy practice.
• Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions, utilizing standardized assessment tools and patient history.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient, incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols based on ongoing patient evaluations, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
• Regularly document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and modifications to care plans with precision and timeliness.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes, ensuring seamless transitions of care.
• Engage in discharge planning to ensure patients have comprehensive follow-up care and resources upon completion of therapy.
• Participate in facility meetings and continuous learning opportunities to stay updated on best practices and organizational initiatives.
• Contribute to addressing barriers to patient access and engage in specific community initiatives aimed at improving service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with patients suffering from a range of orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other mobility-related issues. Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
• Current certification in CPR.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years in outpatient orthopedics is required, experience with manual therapy techniques, sports rehabilitation, and post-operative care will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and innovative rehabilitation technologies will enhance your ability to succeed in this role.
