Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, inclusive of their medical history, physical exams, and functional mobility assessments.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, ensuring alignment with physician directives and evidence-based practices.
• Deliver hands-on therapeutic care, employing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to improve patients' conditions.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment objectives, progress, and long-term wellness strategies.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, working alongside physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain a commitment to best practices in patient care through continuous professional development and community engagement efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to provide care to a diverse array of patients, particularly those with orthopedic injuries and conditions. This includes rehabilitating athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, children with developmental delays, and adults recovering from surgeries or chronic pain conditions. Your role will be pivotal in helping these patients regain mobility, enhance their quality of life, and achieve their functional goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A valid state physical therapy license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with patients and staff.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic medical record (EMR) systems is essential for accurate documentation.
• A commitment to building strong therapeutic relationships with patients and contributing positively to the team atmosphere.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy is preferred, with demonstrated clinical competence in a variety of treatment techniques.
• Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to streamline documentation and treatment tracking.
• A background in pediatric and/or sports medicine therapy can be an advantage in ensuring comprehensive patient services.

Compensation and Benefits
