Position Overview

Trailbound Rehabilitation & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Herndon, Virginia. This full-time role is integral to our rehabilitation facility, where you will play a crucial part in enhancing patients' quality of life through specialized orthopedic care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physical therapy, with a particular focus on outpatient orthopedic procedures.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation facility in Herndon, providing a stimulating environment where you have access to advanced physical therapy technologies and resources. Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, you will collaborate with a team of other motivated healthcare professionals, creating an atmosphere of support and collective growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with state practice acts and regulations governing the practice of physical therapy, ensuring the highest standard of care.
• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to assess functional limitations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
• Utilize evidence-based protocols to implement treatment plans effectively, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress and changing health conditions.
• Perform evaluations that include a comprehensive review of patient history and specific assessments to inform treatment recommendations and document outcomes.
• Transition patients seamlessly through discharge planning and monitor follow-up care to ensure continuation of the treatment plan.
• Document patient care activities meticulously, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, maintaining compliance with all healthcare documentation standards.
• Engage in multidisciplinary consultations, when necessary, to provide the best possible outcomes for patients by recognizing and addressing any changes in their condition.
• Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving patient access and rehabilitation services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, focusing on individuals with orthopedic injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation needs. You will employ advanced therapeutic techniques to help restore function and mobility, facilitating a return to daily activities and enhancing overall well-being. Your expertise will directly impact the rehabilitation journey of each patient, ensuring they receive tailored and effective care.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current physical therapy license in the state of Virginia, as required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy settings.
• Current certification in CPR.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in specialized orthopedic rehabilitation and familiarity with modern physical therapy equipment, including Electrotherapy and Ultrasound instruments, will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits
