Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Physio Recovery Center

Position Overview

Physio Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Reston, Virginia. In this role, you will partner with patients in their journey to restore motion and enhance their overall quality of life. By implementing evidence-based interventions, you will contribute to their functional abilities and personal well-being, playing a crucial role in their rehabilitation journey.

About the Organization

At Physio Recovery Center, we specialize in orthopedic outpatient therapy and pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care tailored to each patient's needs. Our facility spans 5000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine technology. We cater primarily to patients with private medical insurance, ensuring personalized treatment plans that support optimal recovery. Our skilled team consists of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to fostering patient-centered care.

Work Environment

This role is located onsite at our fully-equipped rehabilitation facility in Reston. Operating Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, we maintain a collaborative environment that empowers both therapists and patients. The modern design of our center reflects our commitment to creating a welcoming and efficient space for recovery and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess patients' goals and needs through comprehensive evaluations.
• Manage a case load of 2-3 patients per hour, offering individualized treatment that includes various therapeutic interventions.
• Develop and implement effective care plans utilizing diverse treatment techniques to improve motion and mobility.
• Promote cost-effective treatment options aimed at reducing reliance on medications and avoiding surgical interventions.
• Design and facilitate fitness and wellness programs tailored to each patient's specific rehabilitation needs.
• Provide ongoing motivation and support to encourage optimal function and recovery.
• Collaborate with other health professionals to provide holistic care to patients.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, maintaining clear communication with patients and the healthcare team.
• Document patient care procedures accurately using EMR software such as WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic patients, ranging from those recovering from surgery to individuals with chronic pain or mobility issues. You will work closely with patients at various stages of recovery, adapting your approach to meet diverse needs and fostering an environment that encourages healing and empowerment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia, without any board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a solid foundation in exercise prescription.
• Experience utilizing EMR software, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop personalized rehabilitation strategies and fitness programs.
• Proficiency in engaging with diverse patient populations and fostering therapeutic relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to USD 110,000, based on experience and qualifications.
