Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and regular follow-up evaluations to design appropriate therapy plans tailored to each patient's individual needs.
• Assess and document patient mobility, strength, and functional levels, setting realistic and attainable goals aimed at recovery.
• Create and implement detailed Plans of Treatment that incorporate patient feedback, staff collaboration, and evidence-based practices to optimize outcomes.
• Regularly adjust treatment programs based on patient progress, using current methodologies and best practices to ensure effective rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with facility protocols and regulatory standards.
• Engage in professional development through attending workshops, webinars, and reviewing current literature, thus fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care and optimal recovery environments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will interact with a varied patient demographic that includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your empathetic and motivational approach will be vital to inspiring patients of all ages to engage in their therapy actively, thereby helping them overcome physical challenges and reacquire their independence.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Possess an active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct patient care in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience specifically in orthopedic rehabilitation is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and the ability to incorporate them into customized treatment plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a positive patient experience.

Compensation and Benefits
