Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy plans aimed at improving muscle function and enhancing daily living activities in accordance with each patient's unique needs.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective delivery of prescribed therapeutic interventions.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities through diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving patient goals.
• Assess the patient's home environment, providing recommendations for modifications that promote independence and safety in daily activities.
• Administer comprehensive manual therapy techniques, including therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage, to optimize recovery processes.
• Evaluate and fit patients with orthotic or prosthetic devices, coordinating with referring physicians for any necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with organizational standards.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team during case conferences to devise well-rounded treatment strategies for each client's rehabilitation.
• Guide and instruct patients and their families on effective use of therapeutic devices and exercises to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities to remain updated on the latest techniques and best practices in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our physical therapy practice is on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, strains, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting.
• Current licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Certifications in CPR and training in advanced therapeutic techniques are preferred.
• A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance for patient home visits, if needed.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
