Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, enhancing, and restoring muscle function aligned with the individualized plan of care.
• Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring that they implement therapy plans effectively and support patient goals consistently.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities using various diagnostic tests and assessments to inform treatment strategies.
• Analyze home environments to identify barriers to rehabilitation and provide recommendations that enhance patient independence.
• Administer prescribed physical therapy services within the facility, focusing on manual therapeutic exercises and guiding clients through non-manual activities.
• Assess, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating closely with physicians to recommend any necessary modifications.
• Document patient progress through meticulous clinical records and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to optimize patient care.
• Educate clients and their families on rehabilitation processes, therapeutic devices, and proactive care measures to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in the development, review, and updating of individual care plans, ensuring they reflect the latest clinical research and best practices.
• Stay updated on relevant legislative and clinical guidelines to maintain compliance and promote high-quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients dealing with post-surgical recovery, injury rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year's experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
• Current and valid physical therapy licensure in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification is required to ensure patient safety during therapy sessions.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance are essential for any necessary home visits.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
