Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Opportunity in Home Care

PT Plus Physical Therapy & Wellness Centers is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in Herndon, Virginia. Work Environment

The position is based onsite in patients' homes, delivering personalized care in a comfortable, familiar environment. Working from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, you will have the opportunity to engage with patients directly, where your interventions can significantly impact their recovery journeys. Our home care facility promotes a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, allowing for flexibility and a focus on individualized patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to both state requirements and best practice standards to assess mobility, strength, and functional limitations.
• Identify patient-specific goals based on evaluations and devise comprehensive Plans of Treatment tailored to individual needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including exercises and progression techniques, to assist patients in gaining strength and mobility, always adapting plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Accurately document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and adherence to documentation procedures as required by our facility and external standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry advancements by attending workshops, pursuing continuing education, and regularly engaging with professional literature to enhance your clinical skills.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists and rehabilitation aides, to ensure holistic patient care and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, upholding our high standards of cleanliness and equipment maintenance within patients' homes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with an orthopedic patient population, which includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our clients span various age groups, from post-operative patients to older adults focusing on improving their mobility and independence. Your role will involve tailoring interventions not only to their physical needs but also to their personal goals and lifestyle requirements.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate in the field.
• An active Physical Therapy license for the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED training.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, caregivers, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• A strong sense of empathy and commitment to motivating patients through challenging therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of direct experience in providing physical therapy services, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience with home care settings is highly desired but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in using rehabilitation equipment and knowledge of best practices for their effective and safe utilization.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation package is competitive, offering a salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to an attractive salary, the benefits package includes:
