Work Environment

This position is set within our outpatient clinic, which provides a friendly and engaging atmosphere conducive to both patient recovery and professional collaboration. Our standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. The facility is equipped with cutting-edge rehabilitation technology and resources, ensuring that you have the tools necessary to provide effective treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess the specific needs of each patient to create tailored treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and functionality.
• Provide one-on-one therapeutic care, addressing patients' unique rehabilitation goals in orthopedic contexts.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, focusing on non-surgical alternatives and cost-effective treatments when feasible, thereby minimizing reliance on medications.
• Develop and supervise progressive exercise and wellness programs that align with the patients' individual recovery journeys.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, utilizing EMR software such as Web PT for accurate record-keeping and to enhance continuity of care.
• Educate patients on self-management techniques, lifestyle changes, and preventative strategies to promote long-term health outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to create comprehensive care plans.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research and advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, catering primarily to patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical treatments, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with a diverse range of clients, from athletes seeking to return to their sport to active adults looking to regain functional movement. Your focus will be on empowering patients to achieve their rehabilitation milestones through personalized support and targeted treatment methodologies.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• An active and unblemished Physical Therapist license in Virginia, free from sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a comprehensive understanding of orthopedic evaluations and treatments.
• Exceptional ability to design and implement therapeutic exercise regimes tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Web PT, for precise management of patient documentation.
• Commitment to evidence-based practices, continuously updated with the latest methodologies in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in developing individualized rehabilitation programs that resulted in improved patient outcomes.
• Experience with a variety of therapeutic equipment and modalities used in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
