Work Environment

The physical therapist position is an onsite role within our vibrant clinic, where you will collaborate with a dedicated team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our work environment is dynamic and supportive, giving you the opportunity to utilize advanced therapeutic techniques while interacting with both colleagues and patients in a welcoming atmosphere. Your work schedule will follow a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and recognize the goals and needs of patients upon intake and throughout their treatment journey.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, delivering focused and personalized therapy sessions.
• Leverage your experience in orthopedic outpatient care to provide high-quality interventions.
• Design and implement cost-effective treatment plans that enhance clients' mobility and functionality.
• Explore alternative therapeutic options to minimize medication reliance and avoid unnecessary surgical interventions.
• Tailor care plans to incorporate a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Active and valid Physical Therapist license in Alexandria, VA, without any board actions or disciplinary measures against it.
• Demonstrated strong manual therapy skills, essential for effective treatment delivery.
• Proficient in creating and implementing effective exercise routines tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) software such as WebPT, with the ability to navigate and document efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, showcasing a proficient grasp of therapeutic practices specific to this field.
• A track record of successfully developing individualized treatment plans that yield positive patient outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
