Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy care for an assigned caseload of patients, working closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Perform thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical therapy needs, followed by the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving specific health goals.
• Conduct ongoing evaluations and adjustments to treatment interventions based on patient progress, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapeutic exercises, assistive devices, and post-therapy care strategies to support recovery.
• Prioritize and manage your caseload effectively, ensuring optimal staffing and coordination of care among the treatment team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment effectiveness in accordance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development by participating in training sessions and staying current with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Western Physical Therapy, you will work primarily with orthopedic patients, which includes both adults and children needing rehabilitation after surgery or injury. Your caseload will encompass a variety of conditions, including sports injuries, post-operative recovery for joint replacements, and chronic pain management, enabling you to utilize a diverse range of therapeutic techniques tailored to individual patient needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, to be completed within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Experience

• Experience or clinical rotations in orthopedic settings are strongly preferred, but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
