Adventist Physical Health Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice in Alexandria, Virginia. In this role, you will serve as a crucial member of our healthcare team, committed to helping patients recover mobility and enhance their overall functionality. Adventist Physical Health Rehabilitation is known for its state-of-the-art sports medicine facility, encompassing 5,000 square feet designed to provide top-notch care to our patients. We take pride in our collaborative environment, where you will work alongside a team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes and experiences. Our practice focuses on providing personalized care primarily to individuals with private medical insurance, creating a pathway for comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation.

Work Environment

This full-time position is located onsite at our facility in Alexandria, VA, where you will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Our modern rehabilitation facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technologies, fostering an environment that promotes effective healing and recovery. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patient needs and establish individualized treatment goals.
• Create and implement customized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic techniques to enhance mobility and functionality.
• Maintain a structured patient load, seeing one patient per hour to ensure focused and quality care.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques effectively to alleviate pain and improve patient outcomes.
• Motivate patients throughout their therapy sessions, promoting self-efficacy in managing their own health.
• Document patient progress accurately using EMR software like WebPT, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effects and modify care plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices among patients, enhancing their strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Actively participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals with orthopedic conditions seeking rehabilitation services post-injury, surgery, or due to chronic pain. You will work with a diverse group of patients, ranging from active adults to aging individuals, all striving to regain their mobility and improve their quality of life. The focus is on providing care that minimizes reliance on medications and explores non-surgical alternatives whenever possible.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Alexandria, Virginia.
• No board actions or disciplinary measures against your professional license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and experience with therapeutic modalities.
• Proficient in developing tailored exercise programs suited to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, we are primarily looking for candidates who demonstrate a dedication to patient care and possess a strong willingness to learn and grow professionally. Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and a proven track record in achieving positive patient outcomes will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
