We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in a full-time capacity at Fore Front Ortho Care Clinic, located in the heart of Alexandria, Virginia. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping patients recover from injuries, improve their physical abilities, and enhance their overall quality of life. Your expertise will be crucial in developing personalized treatment plans, conducting assessments, and providing progressive rehabilitation to support patients on their journey to optimal health.

Fore Front Ortho Care Clinic is a leading orthopedic outpatient private physical therapy practice dedicated to offering innovative and effective care to our patients. Our clinic is equipped with a state-of-the-art 5000 square foot sports medicine facility, designed to foster an environment that promotes healing and recovery. Our experienced team consists of dedicated professionals, including two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. We primarily serve patients with private medical insurance, ensuring that our services are tailored to meet their unique health needs.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Alexandria, Virginia. You will benefit from a supportive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and development. Our facility boasts modern treatment spaces and the latest therapeutic equipment, allowing you to implement innovative therapy techniques effectively. The work schedule is set from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, providing a balanced approach to your professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions to determine specific therapy goals and needs.
• Manage an average caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring each patient receives focused attention and customized treatment.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans incorporating various rehabilitation techniques.
• Provide cost-effective interventions aimed at improving patients' range of motion, strength, and mobility while encouraging the use of non-surgical options.
• Educate patients on preventive care and self-management strategies to maintain progress after discharge.
• Create individualized exercise and wellness programs that empower patients to engage actively in their recovery.
• Maintain thorough documentation of each patient's care, progress evaluations, and treatment responses using WebPT EMR Software.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Continuously monitor and assess treatment outcomes, making necessary adjustments to maximize efficacy and results.
• Inspire patients to adopt healthier lifestyles, enhancing their physical fitness and overall well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily cater to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including sports injuries, joint replacement, and rehabilitation following trauma. We prioritize building strong therapeutic relationships with our patients, fostering trust and motivation throughout their recovery journey. Your ability to connect with patients and tailor treatment plans to their specific goals will be foundational to their success.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate treatment plans and progress to patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR software is a plus, enhancing efficiency in documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary in the range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, continuing education opportunities, and more.
