Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is based in our outpatient office setting, which fosters collaboration among our healthcare professionals. You will work closely with a committed team consisting of one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and two fellow physical therapists. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the goals and needs of each patient effectively.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused attention and dedicated care.
• Implement cost-effective treatments aimed at improving clients' motion and mobility while minimizing reliance on medications.
• Explore and recommend non-surgical alternatives to enhance patient outcomes.
• Develop individualized care plans that utilize a variety of treatment techniques tailored to each patient's specific requirements.
• Customize fitness and wellness programs that promote long-term health and well-being.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment journey to help them maximize their functional capabilities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for our patients.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness, monitor patient progress, and maintain open and supportive communication with clients.
• Document all services provided, maintaining accurate patient care records in compliance with EMR software requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals with orthopedic concerns, including post-operative rehabilitation and sports-related injuries. The majority of our patients have private health insurance, which underscores our commitment to providing accessible and high-quality care. Your role will play a crucial part in enabling them to achieve their mobility goals and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and the ability to develop effective exercise routines tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to document patient care accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly valued.
• A background in sports medicine or rehabilitation is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
