Work Environment

Your practice will take place onsite at our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center in Fairfax, Virginia. Our facility is designed to facilitate patient recovery through innovative equipment and therapeutic environments that are conducive to healing. Working full-time, Monday through Friday, you will engage in a structured 40-hour workweek, allowing for a balanced work-life experience while being highly impactful in our patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine eligibility for treatment and necessary interventions.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment programs tailored to address individual patient needs, incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes, utilizing research-driven techniques.
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team to maximize treatment outcomes, providing insights and feedback on patient performance.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers regarding self-management strategies and therapeutic exercises to promote ongoing recovery and prevention of re-injury.
• Deliver exceptional customer service that fosters a welcoming atmosphere for all patients and their families.
• Meet practice utilization goals and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus primarily on orthopedic patients, although you will also have the opportunity to work with pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine populations. This diverse clientele means you will utilize a wide range of techniques, enabling you to enrich your clinical skills while making a real difference in patients' recovery.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in computer skills and electronic patient management systems.
• Ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with each patient to help them exceed their functional goals.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with clinical guidelines and documentation requirements relevant to physical therapy practice.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment focused on shared patient goals.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
