Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, where teamwork is at the heart of our practice. Our facility is designed to facilitate an interactive and engaging atmosphere for both patients and staff. You will work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, in an environment that encourages open communication and mutual respect among healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing pertinent medical histories and performing specific assessments to determine the appropriate treatment protocols.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, ensuring that each plan meets the unique needs of the patient and aligns with best practices in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Regularly assess patient progress and document all care activities accurately and timely. This includes maintaining clear records of initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, and discharge summaries to track patient outcomes effectively.
• Engage in collaborative consultations with other healthcare professionals as necessary, adapting care plans based on documented changes in patients' conditions.
• Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure that patients receive continuous support and resources after leaving the facility.
• Maintain compliance with state, local, and federal regulations, as well as corporate training requirements, to uphold the highest standards of therapeutic practices.
• Involve and educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, facilitating discussions about expectations and treatments.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to the development of shared goals and objectives that enhance patient care and staff collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions such as arthritis, fractures, and sports-related injuries. The clinic serves a diverse demographic, providing each patient with personalized attention and hands-on care to address their unique rehabilitation needs. The focus is on restoring function, minimizing pain, and promoting independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Virginia.
• CPR certification is required for the role.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented interdisciplinary environment.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documenting patient care efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits
