Work Environment

This role is based onsite in our outpatient office in Dulles, Virginia. You will join a dynamic therapeutic team that values innovation and patient-centered care. The therapist will typically work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients' orthopedic conditions through thorough screenings, history taking, and functional tests.
• Create individualized care plans based on each patient's specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Implement evidence-based treatment interventions, incorporating a range of manual therapy techniques, exercise programs, and modalities.
• Monitor and document patients' progress meticulously using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Instruct patients in self-management strategies and therapeutic exercises for at-home practice to facilitate ongoing recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and foster a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation.
• Maintain a balanced patient load, dedicating ample time and attention to ensure effective treatment and support for each individual.
• Promote preventive care and wellness strategies, empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery process.
• Participate in team discussions and case conferences to share insights and improve the standard of care delivered.
• Stay current with advancements in physical therapy research and techniques, integrating new findings into practice where applicable.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients with orthopedic concerns, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, arthritis, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient demographic ranges from athletes seeking to regain peak performance to seniors striving to maintain their mobility and independence. Building rapport and trust with your patients will be key to their success in physical therapy.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active physical therapist license in the state of Virginia, free of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Strong competency in a variety of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities.
• Exceptional ability to design and implement individualized exercise programs suitable for diverse patient needs.
• Proficiency in using EMR software, particularly WebPT, for accurate patient documentation and management.
• A passion for ongoing professional development and a commitment to best practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy preferred, with proven success in managing similar patient populations.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation methodologies and trends in orthopedic physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
