Work Environment

As a physical therapist in our Herndon facility, you will work onsite within a state-of-the-art home care setting. Our focus is on providing comprehensive rehabilitation for patients following orthopedic procedures, sports injuries, and general mobility issues. You will engage with patients in a vibrant, open clinic filled with the latest therapeutic equipment and technology, enabling you to deliver outstanding care. Our hours are set from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a consistent and predictable work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based techniques, ensuring treatments are adaptable to meet individual patient goals.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy and exercise regimens, to optimize patient recovery and performance.
• Manage a case load that allows for focused attention on each patient, ensuring quality care delivery and effective communication.
• Educate patients about their conditions and treatment strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously through regular assessments, adjusting the treatment plan as necessary to facilitate ongoing improvement.
• Document all treatment provided in a clear and accurate manner, utilizing EMR software, especially Web PT, to maintain comprehensive patient records.
• Foster a positive therapeutic relationship with patients, instilling motivation and encouragement throughout the recovery process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries, including but not limited to joint replacements, fractures, tendon repairs, and athletic injuries. Your approach will prioritize functional restoration and enhancement of daily living activities, working closely with each individual to understand their unique challenges and aspirations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active and unencumbered license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Current knowledge of evidence-based physical therapy practices, particularly in orthopedics.
• Proficient in various manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation methodologies.
• Ability to effectively operate EMR software, including familiarity with Web PT, ensuring precise record-keeping.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Previous clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in creating and executing personalized exercise programs that lead to patient improvements.
• Experience with patient education and promoting wellness initiatives is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
