Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients, identifying mobility challenges and setting achievable goals to enhance their functional abilities.
• Develop individualized Treatment Plans that address the specific needs and rehabilitation objectives of each patient, incorporating both short-term and long-term goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions using the latest evidence-based techniques, and adjust plans based on patient progress effectively and responsively.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and any changes in patient status according to facility procedures.
• Engage actively in continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Provide mentorship to less experienced staff members, demonstrating best practices and encouraging a culture of collaborative learning.
• Participate in facility meetings to contribute to the improvement of patient care workflows and operational effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions affecting their mobility. This role requires you to address the needs of diverse patient demographics, including older adults and younger patients participating in active rehabilitation programs. Your ability to cater treatment approaches to suit various age groups and injury types is essential for their recovery and overall satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate is preferred.
• An active Physical Therapy license for the State of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with AED proficiency.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a relevant setting, preferably focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• A proven track record of fostering patient relationships through a compassionate and motivating approach.
• Knowledge of physical therapy modalities and proper equipment usage as well as adherence to safety protocols.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience is required, we encourage applicants with specialized training in orthopedic therapy or advanced certifications in specific therapeutic techniques to apply. Experience working in a home care setting or with multi-disciplinary teams is also highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually , commensurate with experience. Benefits include:
