Strong Vitality Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our Rehabilitation Center located in Herndon, Virginia. Work Environment

The Rehabilitation Center offers a warm and supportive atmosphere dedicated to patient recovery. The facility is equipped with the latest technology and rehabilitation tools designed to assist physical therapists in providing effective treatments. Operating on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, our onsite work setting encourages collaboration among team members and provides an opportunity for direct interaction with patients, enhancing the quality of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical abilities and limitations to tailor personalized rehabilitation programs.
• Perform orthopedic assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercise regimens, and modality applications to facilitate recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Foster trust and rapport with patients, encouraging their active participation in their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and comprehensive care is provided for every patient.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise plans and wellness strategies to maintain and improve physical function.
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in physical therapy to continually enhance the care offered.
• Promote lifestyle changes that contribute to better physical health, such as strength training, flexibility exercises, and balance improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and individuals experiencing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Understanding the specific challenges faced by this diverse patient group will be essential in delivering personalized, effective therapies that suit their rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is necessary.
• Proven competency in orthopedic physical therapy with the ability to demonstrate various manual therapy techniques.
• A commitment to best practices in patient care and a solid understanding of exercise program development.
• Experience with EMR software, specifically Web PT, to ensure precise, comprehensive documentation.
• A history of no license sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate patients through their rehabilitation process.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient clinic setting is a plus.
• Familiarity with contemporary physical therapy modalities and treatment protocols.
• Previous involvement in interdisciplinary care teams is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
