Position Overview

Active Living Orthopedic Facility is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist specializing in orthopedic care to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our patients by guiding them through their rehabilitation processes. You will work directly with patients to restore their mobility and develop personalized treatment plans aimed at achieving their specific rehabilitation goals.

Work Environment

As a member of our rehabilitation center, you will find yourself in a collaborative and supportive environment. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all working together to deliver exceptional care to our patients. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and resources, offering you the tools necessary to provide effective treatments. Our onsite approach allows for hands-on patient interactions and immediate access to resources that enhance therapy effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's unique goals and needs, developing individualized treatment plans.
• Manage a scheduled patient caseload, ensuring quality care by only seeing one patient per hour, allowing ample time for effective treatment.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and rehabilitation strategies to improve patients' range of motion, strength, and overall mobility.
• Reduce patients' reliance on medications through alternative therapeutic techniques, and help explore options to avoid surgical interventions.
• Create tailored fitness and wellness programs aimed at addressing specific patient requirements, enhancing their overall health.
• Document each session meticulously, assessing treatment outcomes and maintaining communication with patients regarding their progress.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care.
• Motivate and support patients through their rehabilitation journey, providing encouragement and addressing barriers to compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Given the diverse needs of our patient population, your ability to design custom-tailored therapy plans will play a crucial role in their rehabilitation success. You will also have the opportunity to work with patients from various age groups, including young athletes and older adults seeking to regain their independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• An unblemished professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to document and track patient care efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 125,000 annually, depending on your experience and qualifications.
