Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized assessments and develop personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique goals and needs.
• Manage a balanced patient load, allowing for dedicated and attentive care to each individual to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Utilize advanced orthopedic techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, depending on the patient's rehabilitation requirements.
• Emphasize non-surgical approaches to treatment, reducing the reliance on medications while fostering natural recovery processes.
• Continuously monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress, adjusting care strategies as necessary based on individual responses to treatment.
• Motivate patients through their rehabilitation journeys, providing support and encouragement to help them reach their physical goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication about patient progress.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of interventions and treatments using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically Web PT.
• Conduct regular evaluations to measure the effectiveness of treatment protocols and make data-driven adjustments to care plans.
• Provide education and resources to patients on injury prevention, wellness, and lifestyle modifications that promote health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. You will engage with patients of all ages, from active athletes to seniors requiring rehabilitation, and address a wide range of orthopedic issues.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possession of an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with a clean record free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong expertise in orthopedic care with a thorough understanding of various manual therapy modalities.
• Ability to design and implement effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Web PT, for efficient data management and documentation.
• Current knowledge of evidence-based practices in physical therapy with a commitment to continual learning.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and experience in patient education.
• Experience using innovative treatment techniques and health promotion strategies.
