Key Responsibilities

• Examine, evaluate, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with functional limitations and disabilities, ensuring documented recommendations and outcomes.
• Implement tailored treatment protocols based on thorough evaluation findings, taking into account each patient's unique presentation and the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including reviewing medical history and performing specific evaluations, to accurately inform the course of treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, modifying treatment plans as necessary to adapt to changes in a patient's condition.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner, including daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.
• Participate in all mandatory training sessions, maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to safeguard patient welfare.
• Contribute to facility meetings and initiatives aimed at improving patient access and outcomes, and engage actively in team efforts to increase healthcare access for our community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on outpatient orthopedic patients, including adults recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. As a therapist, you will utilize clinical expertise to guide your patients through their recovery journey, employing evidence-based practices tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Virginia.
• Two years of relevant outpatient orthopedic experience, demonstrating proficiency in treatment and patient management.
• Current CPR certification to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients.

Preferred Experience

While at least two years of outpatient orthopedic experience is required, candidates with advanced training in specialized therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy or sports rehabilitation, will be given preference. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is also advantageous for efficient documentation and workflow.
