Position Overview

PerformAX Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our onsite Rehabilitation Center in Herndon, Virginia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality therapeutic care to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall functionality. This position is based onsite at our modern Rehabilitation Center located in Herndon, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapy techniques aimed at improving muscle function, relieving pain, and preventing mobility-related disabilities.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to established care plans and clinical protocols.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and therapeutic exercises to evaluate patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.
• Conduct home evaluations to ensure the environment supports rehabilitation goals, providing recommendations to enhance patient independence.
• Administer treatments including manual therapy, modalities, and therapeutic exercises, engaging patients in their recovery process.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to track patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate comprehensive care strategies, contributing to case conferences.
• Educate patients and family members on therapy techniques, use of assistive devices, and comprehensive home care plans.
• Actively participate in continuing education and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adult and geriatric patients, assisting those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. By implementing specialized therapy programs, you will empower patients to achieve greater levels of independence, functional mobility, and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A recognized Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient or home care setting.
• Current licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia, maintaining good standing.
• Current CPR certification and dedication to safety protocols and patient welfare.
• Strong analytical skills to develop effective treatment plans and adaptability in addressing patient needs.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• A proactive and positive attitude, demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning and clinical excellence.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with community health initiatives or home health settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with current best practices in rehabilitation therapy and technology.
• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
