Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Outpatient Rehabilitation Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at the Regis Spine And Joint Medicine Center located in Arlington, Virginia. Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, allowing you to work closely with both patients and fellow healthcare providers in a collaborative atmosphere. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and resources that facilitate optimal patient care. The work schedule is designed for consistency and work-life balance, operating Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. This structured environment allows you to dedicate quality time to each patient while being part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and exercise prescription.
• Educate patients about their conditions and the importance of their active participation in the rehabilitation process.
• Utilize cost-effective and evidence-based interventions to enhance patient mobility and reduce pain, emphasizing non-surgical treatment options.
• Maintain an appropriate case load, ensuring that each patient receives individualized attention and care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive treatment strategies are in place.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their responsiveness to therapy.
• Keep accurate and detailed documentation of patient interactions, treatment outcomes, and progress, leveraging electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT.
• Lead discussions about preventive care and recommend wellness strategies aimed at improving patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on an orthopedic patient population, ranging from post-operative recovery to managing chronic conditions. You will interact with patients dealing with musculoskeletal injuries, sports-related traumas, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs. This diverse client mix provides significant opportunities for you to use your skills effectively and make a substantial impact on their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) strongly preferred.
• Possession of an active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and demonstrated ability to create effective exercise programs.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly Web PT, for efficient documentation.
• Strong understanding of current physical therapy practices and interventions backed by research.

Preferred Experience

• Preference given to candidates with previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment to enhance patient care.
• Familiarity with advanced therapeutic modalities and clinical practices in rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
