Medical Receptionist Specialist

Bay Area Foot Care is among the premier podiatry medical groups in the Bay Area. Our mission is to provide comprehensive foot and ankle care to our patients utilizing the most innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches by a knowledgeable and caring staff.

We are looking for a full-time Medical Receptionist specialist for our San Francisco medical office location. This team member is a vital part of BAFC as s/he is nearly always the first contact people have with our practice. The successful candidate will work well with our existing team of professionals to create an environment strong in customer service, organization and responsibility while creating and supporting a smooth operating office.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Expertly answer multiple-line telephone with a consistently amazing attitude
• Ensure new patient appointments are scheduled promptly
• Schedule/book follow up patient appointments
• Take messages accurately and ensure follow through
• Provide superior customer service
• Route electronic faxes to the correct team member

Other duties may include:

• Confirming insurance benefits and deductibles
• Use of electronic medical records
• Faxing, copying, stocking
• Assist the doctors and office medical staff with various duties

Prior medical front office experience REQUIRED

Job Type: Full-time

Healthcare setting: Clinic

Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday, no weekends
