COOK | J.T. BROS – SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Earn Approximately $28–$30/Hour with Tips*

Base Wage: $17.75/hour + tips
Location: San Diego International Airport
Position: Full-Time / Part-Time Cook
Reports To: General Manager / Assistant General Manager

J.T. Bros is a chef-driven sandwich concept built around scratch-made ingredients, bold flavors, consistency, and genuine hospitality.

Our San Diego International Airport location is a fast-paced, high-volume operation, and we’re looking for experienced cooks who take pride in their craft and want to work with a professional team.

This isn’t just about getting food out quickly. We’re looking for cooks who care about execution, organization, cleanliness, consistency, and great food.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Execute menu items quickly, accurately, and consistently
• Prep and cook ingredients according to recipes and specifications
• Maintain quality during high-volume service
• Keep your station clean, organized, stocked, and ready
• Work as part of a coordinated kitchen team to achieve ticket-time and quality standards
• Properly operate grills, ovens, fryers, knives, and other commercial kitchen equipment
• Maintain proper food temperatures, labeling, rotation, and storage
• Follow all food-safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with prep, opening, closing, and cleaning responsibilities
• Take ownership of your station and contribute wherever the kitchen needs you

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re especially interested in cooks coming from high-volume restaurants, hotels, resorts, airport operations, catering operations, and chef-driven kitchens.

Ideal candidates have:

• 2+ years of professional kitchen experience preferred
• High-volume cooking experience strongly preferred
• Strong knife and basic culinary skills
• Excellent organization and sense of urgency
• Ability to execute recipes consistently
• Strong understanding of sanitation and food safety
• Dependability and professional work habits
• Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team
• Current California Food Handler Card or applicable certification

Most importantly, we’re looking for people who take pride in being cooks.

THE ENVIRONMENT

This is an active, high-volume professional kitchen position. Team members must be able to stand and move throughout the shift, work around heat and steam, safely use commercial kitchen equipment, and lift approximately 30 pounds or more when required.
