Help Desk Specialist

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Respond to incoming help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls. Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Reset passwords and assist with user account management. Set up, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices. Escalate complex technical issues to senior support staff when necessary. Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system. Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications and common desktop support issues. Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including equipment provisioning. Maintain accurate inventory records of IT equipment. Required Qualifications 0.5-2 years of IT support, customer service, or technical experience. Basic understanding of Windows operating systems. Familiarity with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve simple technical issues. Willingness to learn new technologies and support processes. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. CompTIA A+ certification or coursework toward certification. Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk. Exposure to Active Directory or basic user account management.
