Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is an onsite role embedded within clients' homes, allowing for personal, one-on-one interaction with patients in a comfortable environment. Operating from Monday to Friday, our team is dedicated to addressing the needs of each patient while taking care of our therapists' well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and therapeutic needs within a home care setting.
• Create and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals using diverse methodologies such as therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and innovative modalities.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families on effective home care techniques, therapeutic exercises, and proper use of assistive devices.
• Collaborate with caregivers and multidisciplinary health teams to facilitate a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Stay current with advancements in the field by attending workshops, engaging with professional organizations, and attending continuing education courses.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a broad range of patients, including but not limited to individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, or injuries requiring rehabilitation. Our diverse clientele spans different age groups, making effective communication and adaptability essential to cater to varying needs and goals. Your ability to foster positive relationships and instill confidence in patients is imperative for facilitating successful recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid and active license to practice physical therapy in the State of Florida.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to educate and motivate patients effectively.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Preferred Experience

• While a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, we welcome new graduates to apply as we offer mentorship opportunities to facilitate professional development.
• Experience in home health care and working with diverse patient populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
