Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level 1 Trauma hospital in Plano, TX.

Details

• Works across a 600-bed acute care hospital (Level 1 Trauma) and a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, covering departments including Neuroscience, ICUs, ECMO, Burn, Oncology, and Ortho & Spine floors
• Rehabilitation therapy team consists of 27 FT PTs, 19 FT OTs, and 9 FT STs
• Therapy equipment includes walking aids, bikes, parallel bars, and treadmills
• EMR system is Meditech
• Day shift only: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Requires working 2 weekend shifts per month on a rotating basis
• No on-call or floating requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings required
• Active PT license required if applicable
• Candidates must have active experience within the past 6 months in the PT role
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates whose experience consists solely of SNF, outpatient, pediatrics, or school settings will not be considered
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)

• Primary responsibilities include 1-on-1 PT treatment delivery across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings
• Ideal candidates demonstrate willingness, accountability, flexibility, and a positive, open-minded attitude
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible for this position
