SBA Business Development Officer

A nationally active commercial lender is seeking an experienced SBA Business Development Officer with a proven record of originating and closing SBA loans.

This is a production role for an established SBA lender who knows how to generate business, cultivate referral relationships and move opportunities from initial prospect through funding.

This is a remote position and may be based in an approved U.S. market.

What You'll Do

• Originate SBA 7(a), SBA 504, equipment leasing, and other commercial financing opportunities
• Develop new business through established relationships, referral partners, brokers, networking and direct prospecting
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified small business borrowers
• Structure financing opportunities and work collaboratively with underwriting and credit teams
• Present loan opportunities for credit approval and coordinate transactions through closing
• Expand market penetration through strategic relationship development
• Consistently achieve established annual production goals

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of financial services sales experience
• Strong SBA lending experience
• Demonstrated experience originating SBA 7(a) and 504 loans
• Proven annual production of at least $20MM during each of the previous three years
• Strong commercial credit and lending knowledge
• Understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis and loan structuring
• Established business development and relationship management skills
• A true hunter mentality with the ability to independently generate new business
• Stable professional history
• Existing referral or COI network strongly preferred

$90,000 to $100,000 base salary plus aggressive performance incentives with $400K+ OTE potential.

Candidates advancing in the process must provide a three-year production history showing closed loan volume, including approximate closing dates, loan types, asset types, and loan amounts.

This is not an entry-level SBA lending opportunity. We will not consider candidates without documented SBA production at the required level.
