Primary location/practice will be determined and assigned based on practice needs and individual abilities/availability. Floats to other FMPP Clinics as needed. Provide assistance in all aspects of patient care in conjunction with administrative and clinical staff. Perform clinical and administrative duties independently. Make program improvement recommendations. Under the direction of the Practice Manager, perform all aspects of intake for patients, including taking accurate histories, vital signs, vision and hearing screens, and other screenings. Ensure electronic health record information is current and accurate. Prepare exam rooms and equipment and provide concise patient presentations to clinicians. Carry out clinical tasks in accordance with standing orders and protocols. Meet competency guidelines for minor procedures such as point‑of‑care testing, venipuncture, blood pressure checks, splinting, and wound dressing. Perform high‑level disinfection of exam rooms and equipment. Assist clinicians during patient encounters, documenting visits in real‑time. Accurately complete clinical notes of patient visits, orders, and procedures for clinician review. May serve as medical scribe as needed. Anticipate clinician needs to facilitate smooth workflow. Perform clerical duties to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow. Assist with coordination of patient care between visits, triage phone calls, and manage inbox support. Notify patients of test results and manage follow‑up tasks. Assist with front‑office duties such as screening phone calls, answering routine questions, and scheduling appointments. Monitor clinical schedule for no‑shows and rescheduling opportunities. Communicate with nursing staff and clinicians regarding unscheduled patients. Perform referral coordination and obtain authorizations. Float to all areas of need. Complete billing transfers with laboratory companies and outside vendors. Position may require one late evening per month. Attend one customer‑service training session and participate in an all‑staff meeting monthly. Promote teamwork. Qualifications High school diploma or GED and two years of experience (post‑high school education may substitute for experience). Valid Certified Medical Assistant Certification or Registration (CMA, NCMA, RMA or CCMA). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification or ability to obtain before hire. Ability to work full‑time and float to other clinics as needed. Post‑job offer/prior‑to‑hire requirements: Documentation of current PPD test (negative result within past six months). Documentation of physical examination by a qualified provider within past six months. Within 30 days of hire requirements: Documentation of Tetanus immunization within 10 years. Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccine or positive antibody titer. Preferred Qualifications Experience with computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and EHRs. Experience demonstrating effective customer‑service skills. Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Experience utilizing problem‑solving skills. Experience maintaining accurate records and retrieving files from active/archive sources. Knowledge of medical resources and terminology.
