Job Summary
Theoretical Nursing (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This role involves coordinating and managing safe, effective, and patient-centered care for postoperative patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The perioperative registered nurse will work closely with the surgical team, providing direct patient support, education, and acting as a liaison with patient families and support systems. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of post-anesthesia recovery processes and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as RN in good standing, must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specified specialties which include gastroenterology, endoscopy, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, and interventional pain management. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and a valid CNOR certification are required. Cerner electronic health record (EHR) experience is necessary.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in post-anesthesia or PACU settings.
• Additional Information: The candidate must be prepared to support patients through all phases of the perioperative process, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to care.
